Let’s keep listening!

Join us in a training and test run of a new approach to door knocking - one that is focused on listening and having conversations.

Knocking on doors to have conversations with people is a great way to listen to and engage those who might not otherwise know about Voices4Cowper or be thinking about how to do politics differently. We have chosen to start in Valla Beach, where there were a higher proportion of people supporting the community independent last time, as a way to kick off our conversations and potentially recruit new volunteers.

What we will do:

• Meet at 9:45am sharp in the car park by the beach at the end of Valla Beach Rd (Note: NOT the park near the caravan park). Participate in a training session
• Pair up with a buddy - if it is your first time door knocking, we will pair you up with someone who has done it before.
• Head out to have conversations 
• Return to Nourish Café (35 Valla Beach Rd) for a debrief and share your stories and tips.

We will have some T shirts, clipboards, and all the documentation you need.

Please bring your sunny disposition, sunglasses, a hat, drinking water and wear comfortable walking shoes.
