Anita brings decades of experience in community engagement and development, and in community organising, campaigning and advocacy. As a child of immigrants, a person of colour, and someone who volunteered with children with disabilities while she was in primary school, it's not surprising that she has a focus on social justice, and ensuring that all voices are heard by decision makers.
Moving to Sawtell in 2021 from Sydney, Anita has embraced the coastal lifestyle and opportunities of regional living in a beautiful area with easy access to both city amenities and natural environments. Keen to contribute to her new community, Anita has enjoyed making connections with others who care about justice, democracy, and community representation. Formerly a Friend of Voices4Cowper, she joined the Steering Committee in early 2024.
